KiwiHouse – Terms & Conditions
By making a booking at KiwiHouse, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully prior to confirming your reservation.
1. Definitions
The Property: Refers to KiwiHouse, a boutique, adult-only guesthouse located on Waiheke Island, including all guest rooms, shared spaces, balconies, and outdoor areas.
You / Guest: Refers to all current, future, or past guests of KiwiHouse and any person booking on behalf of guests.
2. Rates & Inclusions
Currency & Tax:
All rates are quoted in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD) and include 15% GST.
Basis:
Rates are charged per room, per night, and are subject to confirmation at the time of booking.
Payment Fees:
Credit card payments may incur a surcharge.
Occupancy:
Maximum occupancy is strictly limited to the number of guests per room as booked. KiwiHouse accommodates a maximum of 10 guests in total.
Adult-Only Policy:
KiwiHouse is an adult-only property. Guests must be aged 12 years and over.
Check-In / Check-Out:
Check-in: From 2:00 pm
Check-out: By 10:00 am
Inclusions:
Your stay includes access to shared guest spaces including kitchen, dining, lounge, balconies, and garden areas. Complimentary tea, coffee, WiFi, and basic amenities are provided.
Parking & Storage:
On-site parking and bicycle storage are available for guest use.
3. Reservation & Payment Policy
Deposit:
A deposit may be required to secure your booking. Booking confirmation is only valid once payment has been received.
Final Payment:
Full payment is required prior to arrival unless otherwise agreed.
Non-Payment:
If payment is not received by the specified time, KiwiHouse reserves the right to cancel the booking.
4. Cancellation Policy
Standard Cancellation:
Up to 14 days prior to arrival: No cancellation fee
Within 14 days of arrival: 100% of the booking will be charged
No Shows / Early Departure:
No refunds will be provided for no-shows or early departures.
Date Changes:
Date changes may be offered at management’s discretion, subject to availability.
5. Cancellation by Management
KiwiHouse reserves the right to cancel or amend a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, any payments made will be refunded in full or transferred to alternative dates.
6. House Rules & Guest Conduct
Respect & Quiet Enjoyment:
KiwiHouse is located in a peaceful residential setting. Guests must respect neighbours and other guests at all times.
Visitors:
Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been granted.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Parties & Events:
Parties, gatherings, or events are not permitted without prior written approval.
7. Shared Spaces
KiwiHouse offers shared kitchen, lounge, and outdoor areas. Guests are expected to:
Clean up after themselves
Respect other guests’ use of shared spaces
Use facilities responsibly
8. Access & Maintenance
While we respect your privacy, management may require access to rooms or common areas for maintenance or operational purposes. Where possible, notice will be provided.
In emergencies, immediate access may be required.
9. Damage & Liability
Damage:
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, furnishings, or fixtures during their stay.
Personal Property:
KiwiHouse accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
Use of Property:
All facilities are used at the guest’s own risk.
10. Health & Safety
Guests must behave in a safe and responsible manner at all times and ensure their actions do not put themselves or others at risk.
11. Departure
Late Check-Out:
Late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional charges.
Settlement:
All outstanding amounts must be settled prior to departure.
12. Privacy
KiwiHouse respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act.
13. Disputes
We aim to resolve any issues promptly and fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal.
